HomeGymByNet is part of the successful family of fitness equipment web sites of InternetFitness.com. InternetFitness.com has been in the business of providing health and fitness solutions for over 17 years. The company started by selling fitness equipment in brick and mortar stores.

With the advent of the Internet, they realized the potential for offering these same products online. Starting over fours years ago, InternetFitness.com launched their initial electronic business with AdvancedFitness.

In January of 1998, InternetFitness.com launched the Smooth Fitness Manufacturing Company, making quality treadmills and home gyms. They received top ratings in Runner's World and Kiplinger's Magazine. Each model combines the best features of the leading manufacturers. In conjunction with the release of the Smooth Home Gym, HomeGymByNet was launched. This was the first Web site that offered major brands of home gyms, including the Smooth. Soon after the launch of Home Gym By Net came EllipticalTrainers.com and CorporateFitnessSource.com. Each site offering personalized service with live consultants.

InternetFitness.com launched their sixth Web site, 1800Treadmill.com in May of 2000. This is a strictly e-commerce site, offering the entire line of Smooth Treadmills.
